Ladybugs in the plum tree

Ladybug on plum tree leaves.

These small cuties feeds on aphids so be careful with them.

8 or 9 years ago I used insect spray on that tree to get rid of the aphid colony.

Took two or three years before I got my ladybugs back, but since then I've seen them every year.

If you see ants however you should try to get rid of them: they farm aphids, move them around, protect them against ladybugs and stash them away in the winter.
